Do you understand how Making money online works? When it comes to making money Online if your a complete newbie and your reading this, you’d probably think making money online is a scam or you may think of it as selling something physical on Ebay. Well technically It is one of the ways to make Money online but trust me there are tons of other ways as well. ( you don’t even need to have your own product to promote) let me get to that in a while.

If your biased about making money online, thinking that its a scam, think about the people who made a living online, think about how Google got so big. Think of a reason why so many websites exist today, websites cost money and the owner would not create websites like that unless they are able to monetize from it.

Put it this way for every transaction online, what if i say you can get a cut from that  transaction. truth is billions of dollars online transaction takes place on a daily basis. There are online companies out there such as Amazon or Ebay (these are just the famous ones) who pay a small percentage as low as 3% for every sale  and then there are companies who pay you much more offering sometimes up to 75% from sales value. Ok alrite let me just begin ways of making money online:

Ebay

No doubt you can sell almost anything on ebay and you’ll be surprised at the stuff people will buy. It’s crazy! Create something unique and advertise on ebay.

Blogging

Blogging is a great way to make money online. The idea is simple when you create a blog that has  lots of daily visitors, advertisers will start contacting you to place their ads on your blog, and depending on your daily traffic/visitors the ads on your blog can fetch a really high price. There are many types of blogging platform to choose from, WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr , Xanga just to name a few. There both free and paid versions. If your serious about blogging always get your very own website My personal favorite would definitely be WordPress.

The problem> Not really a problem but it takes a while to build reputation and generate steady amount of traffic to your blog which is a little bit hard if your starting out not knowing how to begin. You will need to first write good content in your blog and then start learning how to drive visitors to your blog. Some SEO (Search Engine optimization) also plays  a role to bring in traffic to your blog.

Google Adsense

Actually contextual ads placement is the right heading .This is related to Blogging in a way because to earn from Google adsense you will need sufficient traffic.

Notice all those ads you see when you surf online (now even on youtube) like the above? those ads are place by people who advertise with Google and Google places those ads in your blog/websites etc and you will earn a cut from what this advertisers pay Google. Since this advertisers now pay per click or sometimes per impressions. The more organic clicks you get the more you will earn from Google adsense. NOTICE i said Organic, you don’t want to be performing click frauds or Google will ban your account.

How much can you earn from Google adsense? well there are some who earns about $5 a month and then there are some who earn $1400 per day! yes you heard me PER DAY) It all depends on the amount of traffic you get.

Affiliate Marketing

This is my most favorite method of making money online. When people say money makes the world go round i say “Affiliate marketing makes the world go round” So wait what the heck is “affiliate Marketing”? Put it simple an affiliate marketing is a practice whereby an advertiser or vendor(usually a company or an individual) makes an agreement with an affiliate(the promoter) to share profits with you for every sale you bring to the vendor/advertiser.  In other words you are like an agent  or a middle man between the vendor and the customer. From the point of view of the Vendor/advertiser having affiliates promote and sharing revenue is a good thing because they are getting more sales(something they would not have gotten otherwise)

Each affiliate will be given their unique Affiliate link,(this link determines who made the sale) so whenever a customer purchases through your affiliate link you are credited for that sale , you can view your earnings with the respective affiliate accounts.

So how does one become an affiliate? most of the time becoming an affiliate is an easy process but again it depends on the affiliate network. An affiliate network is a middle man for both the vendor and the affiliate(in this case you), they  handle the payment to both affiliates and Vendors taking a small percentage of those commissions. You would view your earnings in the accounts in the respective affiliate network. Some companies however do not use an affiliate network and run their very own affiliate program for their products or services.

There are tons of affiliate networks out there, famous ones would be Clickbank, commission junction, shareAsale ( just to name a few)

The process is simple  1)choose a product> 2)become an affiliate>3) Promote the product> Earn commissions

The question is how are you going initiate “3)Promote the product” This is where you will need to learn how to both advertise and promote learning skills like SEO, website, Paid advertising and much more. There is a lot to learn and a lot of trial and error but if you master it, you can really earn a lot.
